Individuals seek counselling for many reasons
If someone is feeling low it can be very debilitating and a person may feel isolated even when surrounded by others.
Anxiety caused by a variety of reasons may start to get in the way of day-to-day living and cause a lot of stress.
Lack of self esteem or confidence can also affect much of your life and may impact on progress at work or in building friendships.
Sometimes people need help in managing their anger. Everyone has felt angry at some point, whether as mild irritation or full-fledged rage. Although feeling angry is normal, when it gets out of control it can lead to problems both personally and in work situations.
People may also come for counselling following separation, loss or bereavement. This may be immediately following the event or sometimes a long while afterwards. There is no prescribed time to deal with unresolved issues.
These are just some of the reasons why people might choose to look for professional counselling. If you would like to discuss your particular circumstances and how I may be able to help you, please do contact me.
